We are. . .

very four years, the Democratic Party assembles a “platform” that outlines the party’s position on a variety of issues. Traditionally, the platform is written by paid professionals and then presented to the American people.

This year, that’s going to change.

--Well I can definitely understand your 2nd Amendment Concerns, and I do, to an extent share them, although, at least for me, the concerns were greatly alleviated by the ruling of the Supreme Court.--

The only people who will benefit from the ruling are the citizens of D.C. Seriously. I, nor any other citizen of any state will benefit from this decision.
All it means is that the people of D.C. have the right to keep a firearm in their house in the event that their life is in danger from an intruder.
(although it is going to now spark lawsuits in other restricted cities, like Chicago)

Granted had the decision gone in favor of the ban,...then that would have opened the doors for every state/city/town to invade people's privacy and take away their right to defend themselves and their family.

So technically we won nothing by winning, but won everything by 'not losing'.

True to an extent, but the ruling by the supreme court, has opened the door for more lawsuits, and review of the various laws passed by state and local municipalities which will adjudicated based on the decisions placed by the supreme court. I'd say that's quite a foot in the door for reversing a lot of the laws that are rather draconian, and do strip the rights from law abiding gun owners.
