Here's a fun one

for the Dj's and music knowledgeable people on my friends list. . .

I got asked for more stuff like:

Tumor - Come to Daddy
Binar Code - Anorexia
Oil 10 - is it sex
Broken Fabiola - Japanese Call Girl (Manufactura Remix)
Zombie Girl - Trioxin (Instrumental)

slow to mid tempo guaranteed to make girls *writhe* on the dance flor type stuff?

and I realized that i don''t really know all that much more.

Any suggestions on good bands to check out and explore for more stuff like this?

:) as I recall, no one, I have ever seen in my life, can quite capture the essence of writhe the way you can.

That would be awesome :) I'm going to be driving up through reno/tahoe on the way to Fulsom in September, en route to Portland for my sisteers wedding. I'll have to see about stopping by and visiting you on my way back.

I don't have time to narrow it down to song names (maybe later), but I demand you play some Unter Null one of these days.

*I mean I am nicely and helpfully assisting you in your endeavor to find new music...?

heh, I've known Erica since she was 16 and crying in front of the Vogue in Seattle because they wouldn't let her into the venue to see Converter.

She just hasn't made anything I've personally found to be compelling enough to want to play in a club, perhaps, it's a care of "familiarity breeds contempt" and you can point out what out what you think are great tracks.

Awwww, I would've cried, too. Eh, I cried about everything when I was 16, actually.

The remixes of her shit are pretty good, you cruel and finicky bastard. :D

Um, I keep straying off into shit that would moisten my panties a little and totally dance to. It's hard to think of SLOW or mid tempo, however. What do you think of The Clock is Ticking (Terrorfakt Remix)?
Jul. 11th, 2007 07:20 pm (UTC)
heh, more amusing, and how small the world is. . .

daerice from the first response to this thread was at that show :0)

After giving it a listen, it's a good track, and will likely make it into my binder so I can at least surprise you with it ;) but a little to hard for the mass appeal I'm going for. . .

*rolls eyes*

yes, because as we all know, the only purpose women serve at indooostrial clubs is to be "sexy," and writhe provocatively on the dance floor.

nope, none of us go to clubs because we *gasp* enjoy the music, and *gasp* are actually knowledgeable about said music and *gasp* don't feel the need to dance like third-rate strippers.

wow, I didn't think You of all people would take this as a serious inquiry i
into anything but an inquiry into new music.

and blow it into some type of commentary on women

I try to give everyone who comes out something that they want, and not everyone likes to dance to what you do.

you'll dance to anything
a few years back, while at das bunker, i happened to be wearing a haus arafna shirt, and some fellow asked me very condescendingly:

"so, do you actually know who they are, or did your boyfriend pick out your shirt for you.?"

have you ever had to play "the industrial quiz show" on the sole basis of your gender? i thought not. perhaps i read too much into your initial post, but i grow weary of the whole "chicks know nothing about the music, they are nothing more than fetching objects in latex outfits" mentality that seems to plague our scene.

and i understand your job as a dj---to please the masses. that was never in question.

Re: you'll dance to anything
Personally if I see a girl in a band t-shirt for something other than the big five industrial bands or a fagpop t-shrit, personally, I'm extatic. That guy was a snarky ass, *I* would have kicked him in the junk.

re quiz show: no, not based on gender, but I have had to play that game repeatedly. You could choose to look at is as you're being treated equally, even if you feel like you're being singled out.
