12 hours. Tha'ts how long I worked on getting my starter changed on my Vue.

Saturn should win an award for most difficult car to work on ever.

the starter is located on the back of the bottom of the engine, above the transmission.

my hands feel like hamburger.

I'm going to have so many scabbed wounds tomorrow

now, off to Dj Practice. . .

sure sure... your beloved new car has forsaken you.. we know they're really ever so tragically goth wounds...

Real fun is loosening the nuts that hold the hat of the injector on the racecar... 6 total, all atop the engine block right about where your carbirator is.. 2 of them easily accessible from the front.. the next two not so much even with small hands.. and the last two, near impossible.. since you have to come at them from behind, blind, with only about a inch to inch and a half travel, diagnoally due to the fact they are recessed between inlets.. a hour each nut.. laying atop that steel hat and the rest of the engine.. giving you about a 8th of a turn before having to reposition the box end of your wrench blind.. think it took me two hours on those two alone.. fun times...

shortly thereafter we inserted 6 tubes in that injection chamber, welded them in place and cut holes so you can now get at the nuts from above with a elongated hex wrench...

Could be worse: Don't be too broke to buy auto parts, then leave brake drums in the rain. 20+ hours of sanding. Never. Again.
