Coke. Guns. Booty. Beats.
"In the slums of Rio De Janeiro, drug lords armed with submachine guns have joined forces with djs armed with massive sound systems and rude, raunchy singles. Welcome to the most exciting—and dangerous—underground club scene in the world."

Sounds like a hell of a lot of fun to me. . .

yeah, I've heard of it... my friend has this CD compilation of a bunch of bands that do that style and one band sampled headhunter.... actually, they just took the whole song and just rapped over it.

I'd rather be riding off roading segways since we don't do that bnearly as much as we go clubbing. ;)

I need more roadrash.

ah the joys of english, a non dead language, where the meanings of words are fluid and meander and useage slide around worse than attempts at nailing jello to a wall.

Isn't that how we ended up with Coldwave, Futurepop, and IDM?

Promoters and DJ's coming up with new quasi-trademarks to describe what they're doing to make it sound different than everyone else to generate bodies through the door.

Now we'll end up with the argument about noize:

"It's Techno!"
"It's house!"
"Techno!"
"HOUSE!"

ad infinitum....

nope, Coldwave, Futurepop, IDM, Powernoise, Terrorbananna, Prog House, Tec House, Booty House, etc ad infinitum. . .all exist to allow people to identify a sytle of music within whatever umbrella term for genre of music they are into.

I.E. I like terrorbananna band bad A) what other bands have that sounds I like. . . very hard to do when you talking about the umbrella term Industrial which includes so many diffrent styles of stuff, from Vromb -> KMFDM -> Cubanate -> VNV Nation -> Skinny Puppy -> Sero Overdose

I have no problem with the argument (and front it myself) that rhythmic/power noise is Techno/House/Electronic Dance Music for people that like machine noise.

I think I'm going to friend you so I don't have to keep unscreening your comments :0)

Either it's industrial, or not industrial.

More to the point - Is it a good track, or a bad track. I don't care who the band is. I have a lot of bad music by good bands, and vice/versa.

true that. ;p

But some people like certian sounds and sub-generes let them explore those sounds for tracks they like.
