Battle Star Galactica.

Just finnished catchig my ass up to Episode 2 of the current Season, I really do love this show. there are some things however i find a little disconcerting.

Growing up as a Mormon, I must have read and re-read the Book of Mormon five or six times, it's what you did. It was expected, and as a result, I've still got a fairly good grasp on the mythology and the "scriptures"

Now, as I was sitting there enjoying my escapism, my dad mentioned that the first Battlestar Galactica was written by a mormon and it was full of thigns most non mormons wouldnt evne notice and he was right, I started paying attention to themes and plot elements as well as the terms and phrases. Definately written by Mormons.

But it's really not all that much more interesting or strange that the Frank Herbert's Dune / Biography of Mohommed links.

Or the Matrix Series / Story of Christ Allegories.

Except that as an Ex Mormon it was a little. . . disconcerting. People like epic myth what can I say.

I am not, nor have I EVER been Mormon and even I caught that.
On the other hand, I am one of those dorks who likes reading Fairy Tales...
Picked-up on the analogies in the Matrix too. Maybe even some most overlook.
As for Dune, I was getting that vibe though I have a strange feeling it goes even further.
Btw, luvs the new tattoo(s)!!
