Surgery Update. . .

well, perhaps I misheard the doc when he told me how much flesh he was going to remove. in actuality, the section of my back that was removed was roughly 1/2" long 3/8th" wide at one end and 1/8th in wide at the other, and a total of about 1/8th in thick. The local has now worn off and the burning is. . . entertaining.

Did they cut it off or burn it off?

I've had several removed over the years. The first one, on my back, they decided to cut - it left a nasty goddamned scar that looks like a fucking bullet wound. On the flipside, the one taken off my neck was burnt, and you can barely tell there was ever anything there.

They cut it out, because they need to do a biopsy on it.

I hope it doesn't mess with your tattoo too much, but it's a good thing you took the precaution and got it taken care of.
