it all depends on what you want to do. . .

the gear I ended up with, is the stuff I need to perform live with, the 1000's have features the 200's and 800's don't, if you're doing basic beat matching and minimal effects, just press play style djing, a set of CDJ-200S's and a DJM-400 is really all you'll ever need, if you plan to go beyond that, you'll soo find yourself missing those other features. . .

Look at the feature set. The 800's are great, do almost everything the 1000's do, but don't have the memory functions the 1000's have.

For me, being able to save a memory of 10000+ discs with 100 cue points per disc (a loop takes two cue points) along with the adjustable ouch and release on the vinyl platter was worth it to me. . .
