Indeed. I'm kind of disgusted that this law even had to be passed.. it should be obvious. It is outrageous that a pharmacist's "moral beliefs" should ever play any part in what medications he or she dispenses. Simply put -- it is none of the pharmacist's business what drug is prescribed to whom!

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm gleaning from this that the contrary was previously true? A pharmacist can deny filled prescriptions based on his/her ideological beliefs?

What fucking country and era do we live in? *shaking head*

yep some fundie pharmacists refused to sell a woman a morning after pill a couple of years ago, it went to court and it was ruled to be not against the law, so they're passing a law to make it illegal for a pharmacist to refuse to distribute medication for their own personal beliefs.
